How to watch YouTube together
- Add NightIn to Chrome (or Edge). Your friend adds it too; the invite link helps them.
- Open the YouTube video you want to watch.
- Click the NightIn icon and press Start a party. Copy the invite link.
- Send the link. Opening it brings your friend to the same video and joins the party.
- Press play. Pause, skip and speed stay in sync for both of you.

What you get
- The same moment on both screens, with small drifts corrected while you watch.
- Ads handled. YouTube shows different ads to each of you. When one of you gets an ad, the other waits, then you both carry on together.
- Switch videos together. Open another video and your friend is asked whether to follow; when a video ends and the next one starts, they follow on their own.
- A free camera & mic call and a chat beside the video, even in fullscreen.

Good for
Long-distance movie nights with free films on YouTube, watching a music video or a match highlight at the same time, a cooking video while you both cook, or a lecture with a study partner.
Questions
Is NightIn free?

Do we need YouTube Premium?
No. NightIn works with free YouTube, ads included: when one of you gets an ad, the other waits for it to finish.
Does it work with YouTube movies and live streams?
