When NightIn is the better choice
- You want to see and hear each other. The camera & mic call is part of NightIn for free, sitting beside the movie, even in fullscreen.
- You watch with one person. NightIn is made for couples and best friends who live apart.
- You don't want another subscription. Every service NightIn supports is free to host.
- Privacy matters to you. Playback, chat and calls go directly between your browsers. We only help them find each other.
When Teleparty may suit you better
If you watch with a group, or on a service NightIn doesn't support yet, Teleparty covers more of both today. Bigger parties are on NightIn's way.
Switching takes a minute
- Add NightIn to Chrome (or Edge). You can keep Teleparty installed.
- Open your movie, click the NightIn icon and press Start a party.
- Send the invite link. Your partner opens it and you're watching together.
Questions
Is NightIn really free?
Yes. Watching together, chat, reactions and the camera & mic call are free on every service, with no sign-up.
Can I use NightIn and Teleparty at the same time?
You can have both installed. Use one of them per party, so the two don't both try to control the video.
Does NightIn work for groups?
Not yet: a party is two people for now. Groups are coming.
Do we both need NightIn?
Yes, both of you need NightIn in Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a computer. If your partner doesn't have it yet, the invite link shows them how to add it in a few seconds.
Does it work on a phone or TV?
Not yet. NightIn is a browser extension, so it works in Chrome and Edge on Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS.
